Eataly
“Buy, taste and learn about the best foods all under the same roof.” That’s the slogan of Oscar Farinetti’s super-market Eataly, which opened earlier this year in Turin. Housed in a former vermouth factory, Eataly offers the finest artisanal produce from Italian suppliers, all selected with the assistance of Slow Food Italia and accompanied by lovingly compiled details of its provenance and production. You can even learn how to cook the dishes on offer in the numerous on-site cafés and bars. Monocle sent Ivan Carvalho to sample the fior di latte.
